Welcome to my website, where I share a few insights and analysis on a range of countries and global topics.
As an economist, my goal has always been to help corporate and financial market clients identify opportunities, manage risks, and develop actionable strategies.
Drawing on nearly 30 years of experience across global Emerging Markets, I have developed a proprietary framework for interpreting complex macroeconomic, geopolitical, and financial market dynamics.
My experience includes running EM research & strategy teams at several major European Banks such as UniCredit, ING and Commerzbank, and working as an EM Economist/Strategist for asset managers including Legal & General Investment Management, Gemcorp and Gramercy.
Following my doctorate studies (and dissertation on forecasting EM exchange rates, for which I received a Franz Weninger Stipendium prize from the Austrian National Bank), I also worked for an EM government institution and IIASA as an economist.
In 2007, I co-authored a book on Türkiye ("Turkey - Profile of a Converging Economy" / "Wirtschaftspartner Türkei") and was voted 1st individual in the 2012 Extel EMEA Economics survey.
